Evenings of Mindfulness

There are many ways to be present with ourselves and with one another. During an Evening of Mindfulness, we join with other members and friends to cook, eat and be together in mindful community. These activities are part of the rhythm of all daily life. Here, we invite a bell as reminder to be alive in the moment, and we begin our meal in silence to remind us of all that enters the body and becomes part of this being.
The Evenings of Mindfulness will often take place at the homes of sangha members. The structure may vary with the hosts’ offering, and with the food we bring for the body and for the mind. An outline for a gathering may be similar to this:
From droplets to river
Sharing the harvest
Mindful meal
Sharing what is real
Caring around us
From river to sea
